Warm and Toasty
While I was making this set, I was taken back to my youngest daughters 1st year in school. Which happened to be her 3rd grade class, ( I homeshcooled mine). I made her a little jacket and shorts almost like this. It was so cute! She had a class trip; they were going to a museum in some part of Kentucky and the girls were all dressing up. So cute!

The finished piece - cute overalls

In the making
I've noticed that some darker color fabrics stain the body of these dolls. Working with different denims - I've come to realize not all stain; but to prevent (just in case), line the leg of pants or sleeve arms to keep the doll clean. Just cut the pattern of the leg again in light weight fabric (lining or even muslin).
Come back to see the finished overalls. My daughter wants me to make her a pair now!

sewing these little clothes
I believe I've come on this blythe train later than most; never the less, i do enjoy making the clothes. more than that, once they're made - dressing them, and posing them is like doing photo shoots with little models. My daughter thinks so too!
