The finished piece - cute overalls

So I finally finished the little overall jeans. They came out really cute, and they fit her just right. I put little rivets on the sides to mimick overalls. I had to really push them in, cause the prongs were so tiny - but I got them on.

I enjoy so much working with the small pieces of fabric -

In the making

I've noticed that some darker color fabrics stain the body of these dolls. Working with different denims - I've come to realize not all stain; but to prevent (just in case), line the leg of pants or sleeve arms to keep the doll clean. Just cut the pattern of the leg again in light weight fabric (lining or even muslin).
Come back to see the finished overalls. My daughter wants me to make her a pair now!

What Fun

Here's some photos of my girls all dressed up in they're new pieces from ToriCela's Window. Visit ToriCela's Window here.
I've found that sewing for them, is increasing my techniques, and it's so relaxing.

So let me introduce my girls; above is Violet, the most recent.

Next we have Miss ToriCela herself; she's a Pullip doll. I love their bodies for posing.

Next came Bluette, she's a Big Eye doll. Recently she lost
her leg, and so she has graciously donated her body frame as
my little dressform. Taking her body apart gave me a little insight into a Blythe make-over. I may have to try that one day.
